It has been a while since I've posted. Sorry! Will try to post more, soon.
Today, wandering around the Harbor area of Baltimore, doing errands, I was in the Harborplace, or Gallery shopping center, mall, whatever you call it. Exploring, I took the open escalator from the fourth floor of retail shops to see what was up on the next level. To my surprise, it seemed to be a lobby or space of the Renaissance at Harborplace hotel by Marriott. To my delight, four LARGE prints adorned the walls, and they look like A. Aubrey Bodine works.
I have a fondness for Bodine's work, especially his Baltimore shots, and these are huge! They must be 6 by 8 feet or more. I can't find any details on Marriott's site about them, and know very little else, since I was asked to leave by the security staff. Turns out the "conference" that was going on, involved "secure and private" information, so since I didn't have a badge, I had to leave. I asked them if I could come back again, and begrudgingly, they said yes. Apparently I was some kind of security risk, even though I had gone up the escalator, seen no signs saying anything about security, and had wandered the lobby for at least 5 minutes.
anyway, these photos are great works, and I want to know more about them.
